 There
are plenty of things to do in and around the Hotel Goizalde. Cultural
tours, sports and leisure activities, and swimming or walking on the nearby
beaches are just some of the many options.
Sopelana has some
beautiful landscapes to offer, with more than two kilometres of coastline.
The local beaches - Meņakoz, Atxabiribil, (200 metres from the Hotel Goizalde),
Arrietara and Barinatxe (better known as La Salvaje) - offer exciting
sports opportunities, such as surfing. There are many surf clubs in the
area, such as those in Bakio,
Barrika, Erauntsi, Getxo and Mundaka.
 Scuba
diving too provides a chance to discover the hidden treasures of the deep.
To get the best value in the safest conditions, we recommend that you
seek the help of professionals such as Plentzia Sub and Nervion
Sub, among others.
And the area's many cliffs provide perfect launch pads for hang-gliding
and paragliding. The Club
Airetik in Sopelana offers exciting two-seater rides.

But if you'd prefer something a bit less adventurous, you can go trekking,
canoeing and horse-riding... or just take a quiet walk along the beach.
Companies such as Kirik,
Ur 2000 and Laida
Kanoak will help you organise a fun day out in the open air. And to
finish off the day, enjoy a round of "tapas", or take a walk round the
town, whose many attractions include a prehistoric site known as Kurtzio.
Less than 20 kilometres (12.5 miles)
from the Hotel Goizalde within easy reach by road or metro from the stations
in Larrabasterra and Sopelana, Getxo
and Bilbao offer visitors
a varied range of interesting things to do.

The Getxo
Marina and the striking Guggenheim
Museum, together with the recently renovated Museum
of Fine Arts, the Arriaga
Theatre and the
Euskalduna Conference Centre are well worth a visit. And of course
there are thousands of places where you can enjoy the delicious Basque
cuisine and Bilbao's lively nightlife.
